Tips for Successful Growth and Overall Hair Health

There are many more oils that promote healthy hair, but a select number of mostly certified organic, but definitely all natural ingredients where chosen for Hair Gold. This article highlights the importance of each ingredient:

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil – This oil is high in lauric acid, has a high affinity for hair protein, & easily penetrates inside the hair shaft. The use of coconut oil on hair helps reduce protein loss in both damaged & undamaged hair. It also helps with hair loss, moisture retention & conditioning, split ends, & works better as an anti-dandruff than any anti-dandruff shampoo out there.

Organic Jojoba Oil – Jojoba Oil is packed with almost all of the vitamins and minerals essentially needed for healthy hair and skin, namely, vitamin E, B-complex, copper, zinc, selenium, iodine, and chromium. Jojoba oil is the only oil that closely resembles human sebum – an oily substance naturally produced by the oil glands below the skin surface. It works to clean the residues of blocked and encrusted sebum leading to reduced hair loss and diminishes hair damage. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties aid to maintain a clean and healthy scalp and soft hair. Jojoba oil has a “kerato-plastic” effect which conditions hair all while growing and providing shine.

CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) Peppermint Oil – Peppermint may be the first ingredient you smell in Hair Gold; it’s extremely rich in essential fatty acids and essential ingredients that can help your scalp stay clean from dandruff and inflammations. It can also help your hair grow by increasing the hair follicles’ activities and also shielding them from germs and yeasts, which on the long run is going to make your hair follicles live longer and also be more productive. Although peppermint oil is an oil, it can help to reduce the production of excessive oil on the scalp by using it as an astringent. It balances the scalp’s pH level.

Organic Raw African Ivory Shea Butter – Shea butter is an ideal hair conditioner that protects the scalp from sores and rashes while sealing in moisture to dry or damaged hair. Ivory shea butter melts into your scalp, repairing and protecting against weather damage, dryness, breaking, and thinning. It also absorbs quickly and completely into the scalp to re-hydrate without clogging pores or leaving residue. It is particularly beneficial for processed and heat-treated hair. It is an excellent treatment for dry scalp. The high levels of Vitamins A, E and F, restore luster to damaged hair.

Wheat Germ Oil - Wheat germ oil is one of the highest sources of natural Vitamin E and also contains potassium, calcium and magnesium, along with vitamins A, B1 and B3. Wheat germ oil makes hair stronger, thus preventing breakage. It's also high in protein which rebuilds healthy cells and therefore a healthy scalp and hair.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil – Sweet almond oil contains vitamin A, B and E in addition to omega 9, omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids that help keep hair strong and healthy while preventing against breakage. It also seals in moisture, adds sheens, increases circulation to the scalp, helps with tangles, and promotes stronger hair.

Black Jamaican Castor Oil – Jamaican Black Castor Oil (BJCO) is loaded with various Omega Fatty Acids that have proven to aid in scalp health and circulation. BJCO contains ricinoleic, which helps to detoxify skin and scalp and unclog hair follicles. It’s the pure, organic and raw version of Castor Oil. This means it has gone through less processing, carrying all of the original nutrients and resulting in more health benefits while softening your hair. It can also be used to thicken eyebrows.

Pesticide-free Rose Water – Rose water softens hair and is rich in flavonoids and vitamins A, B3, C, D, and E to condition and moisturize hair. It’s a circulatory stimulant and beneficial to the skin and scalp, preventing alopecia and promoting growth. Lavender oil adds volume to the hair shaft, heals scalp infections, and reduces itchy, inflamed scalps & dandruff. It also helps hair shedding and can get rid of lice.

CPTG Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Oil – Tea tree oil is antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory. It kills the fungus and bacteria that cause over production of skin cells leading to dandruff. It also clears clogged hair follicles to relieve itchy scalps. It’s truly one of the best remedies for an itchy, unhealthy scalp.

CPTG Lemon Oil – Lemon oil is an effective as a hair tonic and refresher, providing stronger and shinier hair. It helps oily hair, treats dry scalp and dandruff, and helps balance natural scalp oils

CPTG Lime Oil – Lime oil can protect hair from various infections like lice, and also strengthen it so it won’t fall out prematurely. As limes are astringent, they add shine to the hair as their acidity causes the hair cuticles to lie flat, meaning they reflect more light. They also stimulate the blood flow and scrub away dead skin cells. Limes are heavy in vitamin C, giving the essential oil antibiotic and antioxidant properties which helps to protect the skin from pollutants and the sun. Lime balances oil production to the scalp, nourishes scalp and hair, eliminates dandruff and itchy scalp conditions, and adds strength and shine to the hair.

CPTG Rosemary Oil – Rosemary is one of the top oils for hair health. It promotes cell growth and dilates blood vessels, which helps stimulate hair growth. Regular use of rosemary oil helps stimulate follicles, making hair grow longer, stronger, and THICKER! It is also believed that rosemary oil slows down premature hair loss and graying of the hair. Therefore, it is an excellent tonic for bald people or those who are beginning to show signs on male pattern baldness. Rosemary essential oil is also beneficial for dry and flaky scalps. Regular massaging of the scalp with rosemary oil nourishes the scalp and removes dandruff. Furthermore, it is often mixed with tea tree oil and basil oil (found in my oil booster) to alternately treat scalp problems. Rosemary oil stimulates cell division and dilates blood vessels and, in turn, stimulates hair follicles into producing new hair growth. Rosemary oil is not the only essential oil credited with stimulating hair growth.

Tips for Successful Growth and Overall Hair Health:

  1. Reduce or eliminate any hair style, practice, or product that is damaging your hair or causing hair loss.

  2. Drink half your weight in ounces of water each day. Not only will your body have the water to grow and cure your hair ailments, but your skin, nails, and weight will thank you!

  3. Be patient; I launched this product after 2 ½ years of trial and error, it takes time to embrace your hair and learning to listen to it. The damage didn’t happen overnight and neither will the repair.

  4. Prevention is key! You may have no issues with your hair now, but you don’t want to be that person looking at old pictures of yourself remembering the good hair days. Be proactive!

  5. Massage your scalp often, even when you’re not applying Hair Gold. Massaging your head helps in boosting blood circulation in the scalp. Massaging also activates the sebaceous gland and helps in releasing the natural oils into the scalp; this will help in reducing scalp dryness to a great extent.

  6. If you have a form of adult cradle cap or excessive dandruff, try doing an apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse. Severe dryness of scalp often results in the formation of a residue on the surface of the scalp, which can be removed with ACV. You can dilute about half a cup of this vinegar with ¼ cup of water. You can do this twice a week, which I recommend because often times after the first rinse dries you can really see where the problem areas are and use a fine-tooth comb to scrape it off and do the rinse again (beware that may sting!) If you’re tough like me you don’t have to dilute. I apply baking soda to damp hair then apply ACV for a real good clean. Again, consult a doctor or do a small section test.

  7. Yes diet and exercise matters! Support your hair growth energy requirements by eating complex carbohydrates with every meal. My favorite is oatmeal topped with antioxidant rich blueberries.
